あらすじ
The Beautiful Language is rich in texts and in images. The technique of the cut-up, popularized in texts by William S . Burroughs, is applied here to the images. They are extracted from The wild Child ( 1970 ), François Truffaut's movie based on the true story of an uncivilized boy who, at the end of the XVIIIth century, is taken into care by a doctor and studied as a specimen of the difference. The images chosen for The Beautiful Language show the child being measured, taught and tested. The image is disturbing, the child refuses to agree to this treatment. We see him shouting, even if the sound is cut and remplaced by a disturbing sound track.
