あらすじ
How can I possibly define my relationship with a city that evokes in me a constant sense of loss? I interviewed my father Nader, a former civil servant, about his involvement in the reconstruction of post-civil war Beirut. It seems that in order to construct, we must destroy. This reconstruction evolved into an explosion of real estate development that has erased all the traces that connected us to our city. Then I filmed in Dalieh, a singular district that is in danger of disappearing. It is the last remaining public place where residents of Beirut have access to the seafront. But a large construction project is planned here. It is not yet too late to see Dalieh—all that we have left of our city.
