あらすじ
In the late 60s, in a mining village in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, Medardo, his beautiful young wife, Maria Magnolia and their four children, are passionate about their weekly visits to the cinema. But when their Medardo is injured in a mine accident, money is scarce, and the small luxury of their family cinema visits must come to an end. Until the day Medardo decides that each of his children will take turns to see a film once a week and recount the story when they get home. It soon transpires that the youngest member of the family is the most gifted storyteller. Maria Margarita becomes her family's film narrator, and very soon that of the whole village. Until events change the course of her life and that of the country for ever.
