あらすじ
Nearly half of all known species of chameleon live in Madagascar. The chameleon population of Madagascar is not only the largest in the world it is also unique, numbering a total of 59 different species that are found nowhere else.
The smallest among them was only discovered in 2012, and measures less than 3 cms! For now, not much is known about the behaviour and lifestyle of the Brookesia micra. Scientists believe they are the smallest possible size a vertebrate can be. Guillaume Mazille wants to photograph the behaviour and predation habits of the world’s smallest known reptile, which, to date, has never been observed, let alone photographed. It takes Guillaume a 30-hour road trip to reach the far north of Madagascar, before he can take a boat to the small desert island where they live.
