あらすじ
In March 2022, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Parisian high school where I work welcomed students from the Kyiv International Highschool. The arrival of young Yuliia in my Year 11 class brought back traumatic memories of my arrival in France in 1989, at the age of eight, during the Lebanese civil war. (At the time of the so-called “liberation war” led by Lebanese general Michel Aoun against the occupying Syrian army).
