Beyond Prognosis
あらすじ
What do you do when the doctors tell you it’s all over, that you’ll probably never walk again? What do you do when the diagnosis breaks your dreams in two? And what about that inner voice that tells you to hang in there, to believe despite everything? Promised a world career in downhill mountain biking, Yannis Pelé was just 17 when he suffered a terrible fall in the middle of a competition. The diagnosis was clear: fractured vertebrae and a damaged spinal cord. Yannis lost the use of his legs, and with them his dream of becoming an athlete. When a boy’s dream comes to an end, what’s left but hope? So Yannis refuses to believe it and hangs on. This is the the start of a race against time. But what the medical profession doesn’t know is that Yannis has a lucky star and faith in life.
