Paris, August 1572. Amid a Europe torn apart by religious wars, a royal wedding brings a fleeting sense of hope: Queen Margot is Catholic, while Henri de Navarre is Protestant.
But just four days later, on St. Bartholomew’s Day, the streets of Paris erupt in chaos as frenzied Catholic citizens launch a brutal massacre against their Protestant neighbors, igniting an unprecedented wave of violence across the country.
A decade later, Jean, a survivor of the massacre, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about the deaths of his father and brother. Through interviews with witnesses, participants, and those complicit in the events, he pieces together vital clues to unravel the mystery.
