あらすじ
Years after surviving wartime rape, a group of women from remote villages in the Democratic Republic of the Congo travel to France to testify before a court of law. In November 2026, they appear at the trial of Roger Lumbala, a former Congolese warlord arrested in Paris in 2020. Accused of ordering attacks on civilian villages, massacres and systematic sexual violence, he is found guilty of complicity in crimes against humanity and sentenced to thirty years in prison.
Over several months, the filmmakers closely followed three survivors — Leontine, Francine and Massimu. Through their rare and powerful testimonies, these women recount the rapes, humiliation and violence that forever changed their lives.
Part courtroom chronicle, part story of resilience, and a journey into one of the deadliest yet least reported conflicts of our time, this documentary explores whether justice can restore dignity when history has left wounds that seem impossible to heal.
