あらすじ
On either side is about the last moments spent with Cécile Reims, 91 years old at the time.
In 2009, Matthieu Chatellier filmed Cécile Reims and Fred Dreux in their home at
La Châtre for the movie Voir ce que devient l’ombre (Drawn from the shadow).
Ten years later he went backto see Cécile.
Fred has since passed away, and Cécile lives on her own. She doesn’t write or
engrave anymore.
She tells, for the last time, the story of her life during the 20th century.
Her traditional Jewish childhood in Lithuania. Nazi persecution and exile. Her adolescence with her father in Paris. The yellow star. Her first drawings, while the German invasion threw her into devastation. And finally, her first encounter with Fred.
Around her, many friends, anonymous and poetic, quietly continue the
remembrance of those works.
