The Méribel ski resort is enjoying a peaceful early fall before the arrival of the first skiers. But everything changes when, one full-moon night, a man’s naked body is found on a chairlift, with human blood on his lips and a silver bullet in his heart. The mysterious scene is reminiscent of ritual werewolf murders. Investigator Clara Kessler, a native of the area, has returned to lead the investigation alongside her father, Georges Kessler, a pre-retired gendarme. She’s also back to be with her new boyfriend. The victim, Alexandre—a former inmate who had just been released from prison—works for La Meute, an organization dedicated to wolf conservation in Haute-Savoie. While Georges tries to manage the tension that is rising dangerously between farmers and pro-wolf activists, Clara delves into the old case that sent Alexandre to prison. A murkier tale of revenge, rooted in the past, will gradually resurface, while the noose tightens around Clara.
