あらすじ
In a carnival theatre, the naive dreamer Tobie is unceremoniously dismissed by his employer. Depressed, he takes the advice of his friend and sees Madame Ignorantus a fortune teller, who predicts an uncertain future for him. Tobie is encouraged when he learns that he is about to inherit some money from an old aunt. Patrice, the carnival supervisor, decides to take advantage of this windfall by getting Tobie to buy the strong man’s trailer.
