Behind the scenes at a Parisian palace, the Citadel, Adèle, a young prisoner, lands a job as a porter thanks to a rehabilitation programme set up by the hotel's all-powerful director, Édouard Galzain. A tacit pact is formed between them, propelling the young woman into an underground power game where ambitious employees, influential clients and outside networks each seek to gain the upper hand. Little by little, she transforms her survival into an upward climb and establishes herself as an unpredictable and essential force, ready to seize, or snatch, the place she believes she deserves.
