Unifrance and the Ambassade de France in Italy are organizing the 4th edition of the Rendez-vous – Nuovo cinema francese, which will take place from April 2 through 6, 2014.
21 French films will be presented at the event. Screenings will take place at Cinema Quattro Fontane, Casa del Cinema, Accademia di Francia a Roma - Villa Medici, and Maxxi - Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo. The festival will then tour to Naples, Bologna, Palermo, Turin, and Milan.
Quai d'Orsay will open the festival, in the presence of its director Bertrand Tavernier and one its stars Raphaël Personnaz.

The following artists will travel to Rome to promote their films and meet with the Italian media:
Dyana Gaye (invited by the Villa Medicis), Fabienne Godet, Michel Gondry, Shalimar Preuss (invited by the Villa Medicis), Jean-Paul Salomé, Bertrand Tavernier, Raphaël Personnaz, Rebecca Zlotowski (invited by the Villa Medicis), Diane Kurys, and Guillaume Brac.
In the framework of the Rendez-vous, the first edition of Franco-Italian Co-production Meetings will be held on April 2. This industry event is jointly organized by the Institut Français Italia and the Ambassade de France in Italy, in partnership with Unifrance, Regione Lazio, the Film Paris Région (Commission du film d'Île-de-France), and the Roma E Lazio Film Commission, in collaboration with the CNC - Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée and the MiBACT.
During the first session, Jean-Paul Salomé, President of Unifrance, will focus on the ecosystem of production and finance in France and イタリア, along with the conditions of boosting production. Isabelle Giordano, General Director of Unifrance will participate in the second session focusing on the report of the first bilateral funding commission signed in May 2013 at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the persepectives for 2014.
