Reda Katebは劇役者からデビュー。彼の祖父であり作家のKateb Yacineが描いた芝居 « Le poète encerclé »で監督と役者を勤める。
彼は映画俳優となり、Laurent Bouhnik監督の作品に出演する。Jacques Audiard監督の｢Un prophète｣でJordi le gitan役を演じ、Léa Fehner監督の｢Qu’un seul tienne et les autres suivront｣でStéphaneを演じる、その役でセザール最優秀男性新人賞にノミネートされる。
Fabienne Berthaud監督の映画｢Pieds nus sur les limaces｣で役者Diane Kruger とLudivine Sagnierと共演し、彼は長距離のトラック運転手役を演じる。
