Not every wife has the good fortune to be a cosmonaut’s wife. There’s nothing better than watching your husband fly off into space for 8 months, especially if you can’t stand the sight of him. The cosmic separation? Real freedom. Anna will finally be able to live her own life. She barely has the time to change her hairstyle before her husband is back in the house through a window from space: a giant video screen. Jean-Paul is there, live, 24 hours a day. This virtual cohabitation proves to be even more explosive than the everyday fights. Their two kids, Félix and Martin, are caught in the crossfire.

"Anna and Jean-Paul are at a stage in their relationship where they love and hate each other in equal amounts. They are neither on the verge of breakup nor in the honeymoon period. There is nothing new in the bickering and backbiting they indulge in. It’s a part of everyday life, stamped and approved by everyone concerned. As a matter of fact, all these irritating little things are among the things that I and Jacques do. It took thirteen drafts of the script before we decided which ones to keep! It’s a sort of fictionalized repertoire of all the things you shouldn’t do or say in a family situation — but which we’re all guilty of! Playing a character like that makes me feel less guilty. I hope it does the same for the audience." (Victoria Abril)
