あらすじ
"Casque bleu" is the story of Patick and Alicia, an ordinary maried couple who live with their daughter, Vanessa, on their small vinoyard near Bordeaux. Life is quiet and peaceful, much as it has been for years until Patrick falls for the attractive and younger Florence after a visit to the local gym. Although in his mind the liaison was something which happened in the heat of the moment, for Alicia, with her hot temper and Spanish blood, it means war. She is not so much jealous as hurt and wounded, so in an effort to make things up and show that he still loves her Patrick decides to take Alicia on a second honeymoon to the remote island where they first fell in love. Arriving at their romantic destination it soon becomes apparent that everything is not quite as it was when, at the age of 25, Patrick and Alicia first set foot on this charming island. It is situated off the coast of the Balkans, a part of the world where the aftermath of a hard-line Communist regime is violently at odds wih the local nationalist movements. Without so much as a warming Patrick, Alicia and the other guests at the hotel soon find themselves at the heart of a blazing civil war which eclipses all of their banal personal problems. Suddenly trapped with a group of hedonistic holiday-makers Patrick and Alicia are forced to spend 24 hours a day with people they would otherwise avoid. The collision of bourgeois expectation with brutal reality causes most of the hotel guests to turn a little mad as they realise that this is no longer a holiday camp but real life.
