The main attraction in the village of Rio Pico, in deepest Patagonia, is the movie theater. Run by Caruso, the theater shows films cobbled together from fragments of reels that ended their long distribution career there. In order to help the kids of Rio Pico, who talk and act in an increasingly fragmented way, several adults decide to create their own newsreel, to be projected in the theater before the "not-to-be-missed" films of the local hero, Wexley, a French actor from the 1960s.
