Richard is a teenager living with her mother, a dressmaker. He falls in love with Marion, one of her customer. Marion lives alone with her little daughter and works at a night-club. He wants her but does not know how to proceed. He dates her at Railway Bar. They become lovers. But they do not fit together, they do not understand each other.
