French films will be well represented at MIFED in Milan and the American Film Market in Los Angeles.
As is the case each year, the majority of French international sales companies have made the decision to participate at MIFED, as well as the AFM, which has now been rescheduled for November.
MIFED, Milan – Italy (October 12-16, 2004)
As in past years, Unifrance is providing an exhibition stand at MIFED in 2004, which will accommodate 12 French export companies: F for Film, Films Distribution, Gemini Films, Mercure International, Onoma, Pathé International, Pyramide International, Roissy Films, Studio Canal, TF1 International, The Coproduction Office and Vision International.
This umbrella stand will allow these international sales companies to participate at MIFED in optimum conditions, benefiting in particular from the added attraction of being united together in a central location.
Six other French export companies will also be present in Milan: Celluloid, Eurocine, EuropaCorp, Rezo Films, UGC International and Wide Management.
These French sales companies will be presenting a total of 39 French feature films, to be screened in the Fiera Milano theaters.
AFM - American Film Market, Santa Monica - USA (November 3-10, 2004)
At the AFM this year, eleven French sales companies will be represented at the Unifrance umbrella stand, offering foreign buyers 80 recent or previously unreleased French films.
Located at the heart of the film market’s exhibition hall in the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, the collective Unifrance stand will assure sales agents regular attendance by buyers. It will welcome the following French companies: Bach Films, Eurociné, EuropaCorp, Films Distribution, Funny Balloons, Gemini Films, Mercure International, Onoma, Pyramide International, Roissy Films and Vision International.
Nine other Unifrance members have elected to be represented individually: Celluloid Dreams, Gaumont, M6 DA, Pathe International, Rezo Films, StudioCanal, TF1 International, UGC International, Exception - Wild Bunch.
Complete information on this subject is available in a guide entitled “French Films” MIFED/AFM, released by Unifrance to coincide with these events.
