The debut feature by Eléonore Faucher has picked up the Distribution and Audience Awards at the 21st Tuebingen International French-language Film Festival.
The 21st Tuebingen International French-language Film Festival closed on October 30, with its top two awards, the Distribution Aid Award (Verlelhförderpreis) and the Audience Prize (Die Fliegende Kamera) given to “A Common Thread,” the debut film by Eléonore Faucher. The film is distributed in Germany by Delphi Filmverleih, and is slated for release in the spring.
The “Verlelhförderpreis” is accompanied by a €20,000 cash prize for the distributor and is jointly financed by Unifrance and MFG of Baden-Württemberg. The award aims to provide support to the distribution of the winning film in Germany. The Audience Award comes with a €2,500 cash prize. The festival’s Jury Prize was given to Carole Laure for her film “CQ2 (Seek You Too)” and the Critics’ Prize was awarded to “L’Intrus” by Claire Denis.
