With 200 prints distributed by Tobis StudioCanal, "The Crimson Rivers" raked in 155,981 admissions in its first weekend in Germany. This places it in 5th spot at the box office, ranking first among the weekend's new releases. To top this off, the film's performance has earned it by far the highest average score per print (with 779 spectators). It registered around FFr 6.5 million in box office receipts, and could well reach the 700,000 admissions mark, especially since its release is due to be extended somewhat as of next week.
