4 French films draw crowds among our European neighbors.
“Amelie from Montmartre” has settled nicely at home in Germany, where it maintains 6th place at the box office after 9 weeks on release. It has also slipped straight into 6th place in the United Kingdom, the most successful launch of a non-English language film since “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.
“Belphegor, Phantom of the Louvre” is holding 4th place at the Italian box office, while “Brotherhood of the Wolf” has started out at 7th place in Spain, and “Vidocq” is 9th position at the Belgium box office.
