About
"With "A Couch in New York", that tells of the reconciliation of two characters with themselves and then with others, Chantal Akerman builds a bridge between two worlds and two separate styles of cinema. The genre gains new impetus, Akerman's vision is renewed and the audience is entertained. In addition, it's always a pleasure to watch an actress as talented as Juliette Binoche (...). An extra point in this wonderfully charming movie's favour."
