Fabienne finds herself too plump and hires a private detective from the Filitop agecy, specialized in the surveillance of dieting people. Vincent lives opposite Fabienne. Fascinated by her beauty, he paints her. A misunderstanding brings them together.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
