あらすじ
The story begins on a Summer's evening, children at play in a hay barn. A country setting in the South of France. A family situation that is difficult to fathom, yet seemingly accepted, taken for granted, in which different roles intermingle : father, lover, boss, workers, mother, children... Until the father arrives in the red truck, he appears not to exist, not even to be missed... And yet, his presence changes everything. The mother centres this chaos. She takes the cruelty out of things and manages to preserve the world of her children through the bonds of tenderness and complicity. Summer, the South... It's as if the sun had something to do with hope... Would there be snow at Christmas ?

"I never imagined I would make films, neither in a school, nor on set... It was strange how this film came about... It began as a gift... an intimate gift which became public... for all to see... It's simply a tribute to the art of being mother and that perhaps is what makes it universal, why it comes across. I wanted it to be raw, neither sanded nor polished !"
