あらすじ
They are four; all students in Aix-en -Provence. When the exam results are released, Arnaud learns that he's failed his first year for the third time in a row. Johan suggests they gatecrash a private party that evening to take his mind off it. Thrown out of the party, they all decide to tag along with Breitling who's off to rave; a rave they never get to as they're incapable of following the map. They third destination is a night-club called the Metal Box, which they leave in a hurry after a minor brawl. Then on the way home, Arnaud does in his car. Touched by their buddy's despair, Breitling, Johan and Axel decide, that same night, to fiddle the exam results so that Arnaud will be admitted to the orals. But you can't always mess up...

About
"The original screenplay was the work of Jean-Patrick Benes and Laurent Molinaro, students like their heroes at Aix-en -Provence. The producers, Thierry Lhermitte and Louis Becker, gave the project to me. Usually, for my films, I write my own screenplays. This time, I simply decided to adapt and rework the dialogues with the authors. I found their script really funny, really punchy. In it I rediscovered those forgotten schoolboy jokes, the thrill of adolescence. A fan of all kinds of music, I leapt at the chance of commissioning an original soundtrack which forms an integral part of the film." (Jean-Paul Lilienfeld - Interview by Brigitte Baudin - Le Figaro)
