But what does this really indicate? Why are young people losing interest in scientific subjects and paths? How can this phenomenon be stopped? What initiatives should be taken? Personalities from the world of science - Claudie Haigneré, Albert Jacquard, Jean-Pierre Luminet, Pierre Léna, Étienne Klein, and Alain Trautmann - answer these questions by providing philosophical and critical reflection on science and the state of research in France.
