Gérard and Hélène have decided to start a new life in Buenos Aires. They are in the airport cafetaria waiting for their plane when Gérard tells Hélène he is leaving her. Hélène is in shock and she doesn’t take it in. Devastated, she tries to reason with him. But he gets away from her, she is unable to hold him back. So she remains at Orly airport, utterly lost, the victim of a whim that has destroyed eight years of life together. Hélène doesn’t ever leave the airport. She wanders in the corridors where one can spend an entire life. Soon she starts prostituting herself with the travellers in transit, awkwardly at first, then more recklessly. Prostitution without denegration while she waits for something else to happen, for the day she will be someone else. She becomes an Orly personality and makes friends with a barman. This is the start of a strange, sleep-walking life for Hélène… Or maybe a journey of initiation.
