あらすじ
Grass, fink, informer, nark... Cops refer to them as ''cousins''. They're one of the family. And a cop is no good without a good cousin. But good cousins are hard to find, as police captain Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat) well knows. If you're not the type who's happy to twiddle his thumbs while waiting for retirement, then a cousin like "teddybear" (Patrick Timsit) is really worth looking after... Only thing is, if you want a good catch, the ''teddybear" has to get his side of the deal too... Yet his side is outside; outside the law! Sooner or later you wind up before the judge. But the rule is: ''a good cop never rats on a cousin''. So you end up not knowing which side you're on. And the fact of living side by side, shoulder to shoulder, in high-adrenaline situations makes cop and cousin...What?... Friends?

"While still a cop, I began in cinema as a technical advisor; until the day Bertrand Tavernier gave me the chance to write ''L.627''. The crossover happened gradually. I liked being a cop, but I was worn down by 16 years of police work and nightmarish administration. Alain Corneau and I wanted this really true to life. I introduced him to a lot of cops just to prove I was telling the truth. The actors too, spoke with the police and the magistrates. The screenplay was respected (which isn't always the case, especially in TV), but above all, wonderfully captured by the directing style of Alain Corneau." (Michel Alexandre - Scriptwriter)
