あらすじ
When a child, Anne witnessed the public slaughter of a cock that people claimed had laid an egg. Sixteen years later, in the same square, somewhere in Brittany in the 18th century, she goes through a deeply humiliating experience: her fiancé, Yann, doesn’t show up for their wedding and is nowhere to be found. Distraught, Anne leaves the village, dressed in Yann’s clothes. Passing herself off for a sailor, she experiences the masculine world and unfamiliar sexuality for the first time, constantly fearing that she will be found out and condemned to death. Meanwhile, Yann has appeared again and hears that Anne has gone to sea. He heads for Marseille by foot, so as to find and save the one he loves.
