あらすじ
Another continent, on the other side of the world: Montevideo, Uruguay. This city that was often talked about during the terrible days of the junta is now forgotten. A singer, Laure, arrives there for the first time in her life. She is supposed to meet Colossus, the man she loves. They haven't seen each other for a year. He isn't there. She waits for him in vain. She looks for him. What has happened? She is unable to resist the magnetic attraction of the city. At times, Laure is ready to accept the end of the affair, while at others she's ready to go on believing in it. And when her song speaks to this lost love, it's like she's trying to revive a dead man. Laure, on the other side of the world, is trapped by her own past.

About
"I set off, a little like Laure, my character. I discovered a surprising world, like a corner of old Europe, old-fashioned and dilapidated, thousand of miles away. So far away and yet so close at the same time. This was in June and July 1996, winter in the southern hemisphere: we were staying in an icy-cold hotel full of draughts. Everything was falling apart. Like a country that used to be rich but where things have been left to go to rack and ruin. A world on hold. And it was unbelievable that our film could come to life so far from everything
in a country like Uruguay that doesn't even have a film industry..." (Laurence Côte)
