Oscar-winning director Michel Hazanavicius talks about his deeply moving animated film The Most Precious of Cargoes, adapted from the novel by Jean-Claude Grumberg.

Set during WWII, the story follows a humble woodcutter’s wife who discovers a baby thrown from a passing train—and chooses to raise her as her own, despite the risks and her husband’s disapproval.

Featuring the voice of Jean-Louis Trintignant as the narrator, this poignant tale of courage and humanity is now playing in theaters across several Latin American countries.
