This story is inspired by real-life events. Mexico, 1949. Coral Fabre, a buxom and sensual young nurse, a single mother of two children, sees a personal ad placed by Nicolas Estrella, known as Nico, a double of Charles Boyer, the French actor she adores. Coral, fed up of being alone, arranges a date with Estrella: she immediately falls for him. Nico, on the other hand, feels like fleeing. But... he ends up in Coral’s bed and vanishes at dawn after stealing her savings. So Coral dumps everything and moves into Nico’s place by surprise with her two children. Nico finds an excuse: he doesn’t want to look after the children. But nothing stops Coral: the next day she abandons her children at an orphanage. Then, she searches through her lover’s past and unearths proof of his guilt in the death of his wife and makes him understand that they are “united to death”. Nico, trapped but impressed by Coral’s love, feels a sort of devotion for her. And so begins a series of visits to rich spinsters and widows in order to seduce and rob them, all organized by Coral who even kills savagely to preserve her love for Nico. The trap slowly closes around the two bloody lovers.
